Calls: Send in your ideas. Deadline February 1st, 2023.

See you at FOSDEM?

Join the NLnet Foundation at FOSDEM 2023 in Brussels (4–5 February), and check out presentations of various projects funded by our grants.

After finding refuge in the virtual realm for its past two editions, the world’s largest gathering of free and open source software enthusiasts is back in Brussels. As always, it is free for everyone to join, and you can come even at the last minute - no registration is required.

NLnet Foundation will be there — and we are happy to meet, chat and learn from the many developers and enthusiasts at FOSDEM. Come join us for a drink on Saturday afternoon! (room/location tbd, check this page again by then)

Moreover, NLnet is proud to see many presentations of projects that were recently funded by its Next Generation Internet research and development grants. Here an overview:

If you are also a grantee and your talk is missing, let us know and we will happily add it!

Parallel to FOSDEM the OFFDEM unconference will be held, where NGI0 mentors are on site to answer any questions you may have about NGI Zero, and we expect several of our projects to be attending — no doubt eager to answer any questions or help you better understand their projects. More information about OFFDEM, including location, can be found on the OFFDEM CFP page.

Coming to Brussels and Want to have an early start? There are also events in the FOSDEM Fringe organised by or featuring projects we support, like the FOSS license and security compliance tools developers and users workshop organised by AboutCode, and the GUIX Days.

You can download a snapshot of the above list as iCalendar file (but best check the fosdem website for the up-to-date schedule).
