Taler PoS

Complete mobile Point-of-Sale solution powered by GNU Taler

Taler POS will expand GNU Taler's real-world payment ecosystem by creating a new iOS point-of-sale application and significantly improving the existing Android POS app into a complete mobile sales solution for restaurants, retail shops, and beauty or hair salons. The project will support GNU Taler payments alongside cash and card payments, including mixed payment methods within a single order, offline payments, refunds, tipping, receipt printing, inventory management, product search, barcode/RFID scanning, discounts, subscriptions, and domain-specific workflows such as table maps, kitchen display systems, bill splitting, and pre-paid or post-paid restaurant orders. By combining privacy-preserving digital payments with practical POS functionality for everyday business operations, the project will help small and medium-sized merchants adopt GNU Taler more easily, reduce dependence on proprietary POS and payment providers, and strengthen the open-source payment ecosystem.
