Scala bootstrap
Reproducible full source bootstrap for Scala in Guix
Scala is an important programming language in the JVM ecosystem. Currently it depends on an existing Scala compiler to bootstrap. This project will provide a bootstrap path based on software already included in Guix, thus allowing auditability and better supply chain security for Scala-based software. This is expected to improve bootstrappability for the JVM ecosystem as a whole - in particular due to Scala's importance for bootstrapping Gradle, a widely used build system for Java, Android, and Kotlin developers.
