Harefoot
Beautiful, accessible, cross-compatible technical documents in the terminal
Harefoot creates a clean, fully accessible, beautifully presented, POSIX-compatible workflow for authoring data-centric technical documents from the terminal. Works equally on old hardware and new, for blind people and sighted, with tabular, graphing and diagrammatic data integration. The project builds on and integrates existing tools for converting between document and formats, and for working with spreadsheets, tabular data, graphing and diagrams. The goal is to have clean, semantic outputs with integrated auditing and versioning. Harefoot is targeted at people authoring technical documents, but doesn't require familiarity with dozens of tools to manage those workflows manually from terminal. The user interface is accessible-by-design on all screens, screenreaders, and Braille displays.
