Equal Earth Web Maps
Maps with accurate relative land sizes and other alternative projections
Replace Mercator with a fair and corrected map view in any zoomable open-source map. This practically addresses the recent United Nations resolution: one line of code in any existing application or website makes the switch to a fair world visualization. It preserves existing interaction and functionality including markers and overlays, while supporting dynamic centering, the deepest zoom levels and any map style. It also implements alternative projections and is available to thousands of MapLibre GL JS developers reaching hundreds of millions of people, building the Next Generation Internet.
