BinB
High-performance Linux userspace emulator
BinB is a high-performance Linux userspace emulator (pure Rust, all in browser/WASM for privacy) that runs real x86, x86-64, and ARM64 ELF binaries by interpreting machine instructions, emulate Linux syscalls with static and dynamically linked programs via a virtual sysroot, syscalls (I/O, mmap, futex, networking opt-in, and more), and clearly analyst-oriented tooling including step debugging, strace-style tracing, GDB remote debugging, YARA memory scanning, and time-travel debugging, so users can safely analyze quickly and debug Linux binaries, even malware, without a full guest OS.
This project was funded through the NGI0 Commons Fund, a fund established by NLnet with financial support from the European Commission's Next Generation Internet programme, under the aegis of DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology under grant agreement No 101135429. Additional funding is made available by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).
