luCT
Privacy friendly real time certificate transparency log auditor
luCT is a Firefox extension, that turns the browser into a privacy friendly real-time certificate transparency log auditor. While browsing, luCT will inspect the certificates presented to the browser during TLS handshakes and run a number of additional checks, including fetching the corresponding inclusion proofs from the certificate transparency logs. This checking makes rogue certificate attacks less viable, as the number of actors that need to collude against the user is increased. Furthermore, the data collected during this process enables users to gain insight into the certificate transparency ecosystem and how they use and rely upon it.
