Snapdragon 845 SoC Mainline Enablement

Battery Monitoring + Haptic Feedback in Linux for Snapdragon 845

Linux-based smartphones becoming more and more popular within EU as an alternative to proprietary mobile OS such as Android or iOS. While some people already using smartphones based on this architecture on daily basis, hardware components such as the battery management and haptic controller doesn't have proper Linux upstream drivers. The expected outcome is a improved stability, and improved long-term maintainability by moving these features into upstream Linux where they can benefit from proper review and security updates.
