Ruido Visual Web VJ
Browser-based live video performance and production tooling
Ruido Visual Web VJ is a browser-native, libre software tool that turns any computer with a webcam into a professional live video performance and production studio. It democratizes access to VJ (video jockey) tools by offering real-time multi-source compositing, a rich library of visual effects, MIDI controller support, and audio-reactive capabilities, all within a free and open-source web application. By prioritizing open web standards like WHIP and WebRTC over proprietary protocols, the project ensures full interoperability and user freedom. It is designed to empower independent creators, educators, and live streamers by providing a versatile, modular, and community-driven alternative to expensive, closed-source software, with a strong focus on human-centric performance and a sustainable, library-first architecture.
