Mautic Privacy Project
Make Mautic tooling GDPR-compliant/privacy-by-default
This project will make Mautic a truly privacy-first marketing automation platform by reducing unnecessary tracking for those who do not want or need it, improving GDPR compliance, and giving users a single, clear place to control privacy settings. It will rework cookies and contact-data handling so Mautic can operate without tracking by default, add stronger internal access controls and audit logging for sensitive organisations, and create a central privacy centre that explains the impact of each tracking option before it is enabled. The goal is to help NGOs, public-sector bodies, political organisations, and human rights groups communicate effectively without exposing people to surveillance, while also educating marketers and setting a new standard for ethical, privacy-respecting marketing technology.
