Implementation of GNS resilient decentralised name system in Ocaml
The Domain Name System (DNS) is a central piece of technology that holds together the Internet. It is also one of the most fragile and sensitive pieces allowing traffic amplification attacks, censorship and mass surveillance. This project works towards a practical, radical and holistic answer to the issues of DNS by providing a stand-alone implementation of the GNU Name System (GNS), which has been developed as part of the GNUnet research project. The aim is to extract the GNS logic into an implementation optimized for practical usability and stability. The memory-safe and functional programming language OCaml, allows for the integration and deployment as a mkernel unikernel.
